About Prof. BALA

I am Prof. BALA, (Balachandran Subramaniam) a business educator, trainer and consultant, focused on helping business Owners, Managers, Consultants and Students understand business situations deeply, analyze problems systematically, evaluate opportunities thoughtfully, and make better decisions.

I have 27 years of Corporate Experience at senior levels. Last held positions: CEO (Indian subsidiary) of an American trans-national group; Group Vice-President (Corporate & Strategic Planning) of a diversified Indian conglomerate.

And over 2 decades of teaching in Business Schools (IIT, IIM, XLRI, IFMR, LIBA) and Management Consulting with Corporates and SMEs.

I did my B.Tech. (Mechanical Engg.) at IIT Madras, India and MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, India.

My Approach

I believe in giving a practical context to defining, analysing, diagnosing, solving and deciding business issues. That's why I use real-life case studies throughout my courses, articles, coaching and training—to bring out the insights behind business situations. Management concepts, tools and techniques are often better understood when explained and illustrated through real-life cases, with names, data and other identifying details suitably disguised.
